The Chalfin Group Inc. provided advisory business consulting services to Precision Computer Systems, Inc. in connection with its sale to Fiserv Inc. (FISV).  This transaction required compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.

Robert Chalfin started working with a West Coast software firm. At that time the firm had about 65 employees and revenues of $6 million. Mr. Chalfin was elected to the firm's board of directors. His responsibilities included strategic planning and positioning the company for sale. Within three years the firm had grown to over 200 employees with sales of over $20 million. By early in the fourth year, the firm was sold to two publicly held companies. Mr. Chalfin has performed similar work with several other information technology firms.

An information technology business was considering purchasing several related companies. They were concerned whether they would be offering and paying too much for these other businesses. The Chalfin Group Inc. was retained to determine the fair market value of these potential acquisitions.

A software firm was growing rapidly and was concerned whether its compensation plan was properly designed to achieve its goals. Utilizing information obtained from our firm's annual IT Benchmark Survey, The Chalfin Group Inc. designed a compensation program for this client. This plan included incentive-based equity sharing and participation options for the company's key personnel.
